External vs. Internal

Life has been a little difficult lately, especially with a wedding coming up and the desire to look beautiful for my husband. It's so tempting to want to lose weight, start extra vigorious exercise and restrict food. It seems like every bride goes through this stage. I am having a really hard time remembering who I am in Christ. This is what I should be focusing on, versus my outward appearance that brings no eternal satisfaction. Focusing on the external is actually taking my eyes off my purpose for life, Christ. It is so easy to become distracted and compare oneself to the media and how others define beauty. I want the Lord to beautify my heart so that I can become more like His son. I found a great website the other day that helps me to stay focused on Christ. It is so wonderful! I hope to make use of the many resources that are avaliable!
